A Spotted Forktail is observed near a clear forest stream in Motidhar. This striking bird is identified by its white forehead, black upperparts marked with distinct white spots, and a long, deeply forked tail patterned in black and white. Typically found across the Himalayas and the hills of Northeast India, Spotted Forktails prefer fast-flowing streams within dense forests. They are highly active foragers, often seen hopping along rocks and stream banks in search of insects and small invertebrates. The scene captures its characteristic habitat, behavior, and bold plumage in a pristine mountain ecosystem.
