A dainty little bird, the Green Bee-eater (Merops orientalis) feeds on insects and bees and hence the name. The small bird has been filmed in the compound of a farmhouse in the Delhi outskirts. It is caught preening itself. They are usually colourful birds but this one has been caught from the underside. Notice its sharp and pointy beaks, the thin black throat band and a pale rusty crown.
