A magnificent male Himalayan Monal, one of the most spectacular birds of the Himalayas and the official state bird of Uttarakhand. Renowned for its dazzling iridescent plumage, the Himalayan Monal is often called the "Jewel of the Himalayas." The bird displays an extraordinary array of metallic colors, including brilliant shades of green, blue, purple, copper, and fiery orange. Its vibrant green head, metallic crest, and striking blue facial skin make it one of the most recognizable pheasants in the world. The constantly changing colors of its feathers create a rainbow-like effect as sunlight reflects from different angles.
