A solo Collared Owlet (Glaucidium brodiei) doing a pop-lock with its head. Look at the owl turning its head left to right, and then bobbing its head sideways and also looking crossly at the camera! A tiny brown owl of mountains and foothills; descends into valleys and lowlands during the winter. Appears in both rufous and gray morphs, both dark above and white below with long, distinct streaks on the flanks.
