The Jungle Babbler (Argya striata), often affectionately called the “Seven Sisters” due to its habit of moving in noisy groups, is a familiar and social bird across the Indian subcontinent. In this moment, a single bird stands balanced on a tree branch, engaged in careful preening. Its soft brownish-grey plumage, pale throat, and slightly streaked breast blend naturally with dry woodland and garden habitats. The pale yellow bill and light eyes give it a gentle yet alert expression as it focuses on grooming.
