Two woodpecker species foraging in their natural forest habitat. A Greater Yellownape (Chrysophlegma flavinucha) clings vertically to a tree trunk, using its powerful feet and stiff tail for support while inspecting the bark and probing for insects concealed beneath the surface. The scene then shifts to a Grey-headed Woodpecker (Picus canus) searching for food on the forest floor. Walking through leaf litter and low vegetation, it repeatedly lowers its head to locate ants, beetles, larvae, and other invertebrates. The footage highlights the contrasting feeding strategies of these two Himalayan woodpeckers within the same woodland ecosystem.
