A White-breasted Waterhen moves cautiously through dense marsh vegetation near a wetland habitat while searching through the undergrowth. The adult bird displays its characteristic white face and breast contrasting against dark grey-black body plumage and long yellowish legs. In several moments, the waterhen pauses to groom and preen its feathers carefully using its beak. A young juvenile waterhen with darker black plumage is also visible moving close to the adult bird through the marshy surroundings. Thick wetland vegetation, damp ground cover, and shaded aquatic habitat conditions surround the birds throughout the scene. The footage captures both feeding-area movement and feather maintenance behaviour commonly observed in White-breasted Waterhens.
