In Jabbar Khet, Mussoorie, a Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker (Yungipicus kizuki) sits quietly on the trunk of a tree, actively foraging for insects hidden beneath the bark. Using its sharp, pointed beak, the woodpecker carefully probes and taps the surface, listening for subtle movements of larvae and small insects.
