Sacred Jhaanki Depicting Lord Shiva in Haridwar Kanwar Yatra

During the Kanwar Yatra in Haridwar, Kanwar yatris are seen moving in long processions, accompanied by a wide range of jhaankis (devotional tableaux) that reflect their faith and creativity. These jhaankis are usually built on trolleys, tractors, or trucks and often depict Lord Shiva in meditation, Mount Kailash, Shivling with the sacred Ganga flowing over it, and scenes from Shiva–Parvati legends. Some jhaankis also recreate Haridwar ghats, caves, or Himalayan settings, enhanced with LED lights, artificial waterfalls, flowers, saffron flags, trishuls, and damrus, making them visually striking, especially at night. Along with the jhaankis, yatris carry decorated kanwars balanced on their shoulders, each holding pots of holy Ganga water collected from Haridwar. Devotees also carry rudraksha
