An adult Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) perched beside a round cavity in a tree trunk. The bright green parakeet has a red hooked bill, long tapering tail, red-orange eye ring, and a dark ring around the neck. The bird later clings to a thin branch and hangs upside down while feeding on dried seed clusters, using its feet and bill to handle the food. Rose-ringed Parakeets are cavity-nesting and social birds commonly found in parks, gardens, and urban areas across India. The footage captures the parakeet's feeding behaviour and its use of a tree cavity during the breeding season.
