Bearing the binomial name, Egretta garzetta (Linnaeus, 1766), Little Egrets are a pretty little white creature to look at. They feed on insects, reptiles and amphibeans found on shallow waters. An adult Little Egret weighs up to 550 grams and grows to a petite 65 cm, with a wingspan of 88-106 cm. It is mainly concentrated in wetlands and tropical regions. During winter seasons, a huge number of Little Egrets migrate to Africa and Southern Asia.
