Rusty-cheeked Scimitar Babbler (Erythrogenys erythrogenys) is a distinctive forest bird of the Himalayan foothills and South Asian woodlands. Perched quietly on a tree branch within the forest canopy, the bird is seen pausing between bouts of vocalisation, producing its characteristic calls that echo through the surrounding vegetation. Its striking rusty-orange cheeks, olive-brown upperparts, and long, downward-curved bill make it easily recognisable among forest-dwelling babblers. As the scene changes, two Rusty-cheeked Scimitar Babblers appear together on a slender branch, engaging in feather preening and maintenance.
