A female Indian Robin (Saxicloides fulicata or Copsychus fulicatus) calling from the ground on a forest floor covered in dry leaves. The bird has soft brown plumage, a long dark tail, and a bright rusty-red patch under the base of the tail. She stands among the leaf litter with her beak wide open, perches on a flat rock, and calls again, with her head tilted slightly up. Indian robins are small, lively birds found across much of India, often seen hopping on the ground with their tails raised. The footage gives a close, clear look at her colours and her call.
