River rafting on the Ganga and the Alaknanada in Uttarakhand remain the most fascinating of all adventure sports. The Ganga has always been a mystery for explorers and full of surprises for rafters. The white water river rafting stretch of the Ganga is from Kaudiyala to Rishikesh where the river has 12 major rapids over 36 kilometers long. Most of these are easily negotiable though some require expertise. One of the most exciting rafting routes in Uttaranchal is the ----- to Shivpuri via Kaudiyala on the Alaknanda river. One needs a spirit of adventure and a dash of bravery to undertake these rafting expeditions. This is a small price to pay for one of the most exhilarating experiences of a lifetime.
