A flock of snow pigeons (Columba leuconata) forage in the dry, rocky slope. Their diet includes berries, buds, grains, seeds. Neatly camouflaged among dry vegetation and snow, a duo of brown accentors (Prunella fulvescens), looking for food which is mainly smaller invertebrates and grains. A pair of female Himalayan monals (Lophophorus impejanus) forage in the snow-covered steep slope. The Himalayan monal is the national bird of Nepal. It is also known as the Impeyan Pheasant or Impeyan monal. The male Himalayan monal is also called as the nine-coloured bird due to its different hues of plumage.
