Two of the most iconic wildlife species of the Trans-Himalayan region—the elusive Snow Leopard (Panthera uncia) and the majestic Himalayan Ibex (Capra sibirica)—in the rugged high-altitude terrain of Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh, India. The Snow Leopard, often called the "Ghost of the Himalayas," is seen taking an afternoon nap among rocky outcrops, its thick whitish-gray coat and dark rosettes providing exceptional camouflage against the mountainous landscape.
