White throated muniya or the Indian Silverbill can be seen sitting on the branch of a tree. The muniya chirps perching on the branch of a tree. A flock of white-throated muniya can be seen sitting together on the branch thus showing the traits of highly sociable bird for which it is known. Two white-throated muniya can be seen scratching on the feather of its wings. Unusually for a small passerine, the white-throated munia is a highly sociable bird, named after its white throat, which extends from just beneath its beak to it's under the tail. The male and female are similar in appearance, with brown plumage on the upperparts, brownish-buff flanks, and a distinctive white rump.
