Sanjana Kapoor says "Well let me sum up the entire idea of this festival, it's our little most economical way of communicating to the city that we belong to. With the city, by the city, of the city and mostly because it's economical financially but also in terms of the space you have to convey what you want to say and that's what this festival is all about. Prithvi is tiny, it's a small stage, its a thrust stage there is only 200 seats and that's all the space people have to use to create a new form of theatre. So that's really what the festival is all about." The Prithvi Theatre is a subsidiary of the Shri Prithviraj Kapoor Memorial Trust & Research Foundation. The Trust was set up in 1975 in the memory of Prithviraj Kapoor, to achieve the following aims: To promote professional theatre,
