Once a year, the city of dreams, Mumbai is busy with various theatre activities. The famous Prithvi Theatre Festival starts on 3rd November and several groups are busy taking their paly gabbles and run-throughs before the festival begins. This festival is known throughout the world. Famous filmmakers like Javed Siddiqui and Nikhilesh Sharma have also been a part of this festival on and off every year. The Prithvi Theatre Festival first held on our 5th birthday in 1983, has become an annual feature of the Prithvi calendar, usually starting in early November and running anywhere from a week to a month. The focus of the Festival varies from year to year - in the past, festivals have focused on : - Local Mumbai groups, - Indian Theatre - showcasing groups from across India, - International Th
