Huts, trees and houses submerged in flood waters of the Brahmaputra river during the 2020 floods of Assam. The flooding started in May 2020 and continued through the month of August, affecting over 30,000 people and causing widespread damage in at last 24 of the state's 33 districts. What was even more difficult was the fact that this flood overlapped the COVID 19 pandemic.
