Two Orthetrum chrysis dragonflies are perched together on a green leaf while forming the characteristic mating wheel position. The insects are connected abdomen-to-head in a circular posture commonly observed during dragonfly reproduction. Their elongated bodies, transparent wings, and metallic colouration are visible in the close-up natural setting. Dragonflies of the genus Orthetrum are commonly associated with wetlands, ponds, streams, and moist vegetation where breeding activity takes place. The leaf provides a stable resting surface during the mating process within the surrounding vegetation. The footage captures reproductive behaviour and detailed interaction between the two dragonflies in their natural habitat.
