A large gathering of Demoiselle Cranes (Anthropoides virgo) at the Pakshi Chugga Ghar, or Bird Feeding Home, in Khichan village, Rajasthan, India. The migratory cranes, locally known as Kurja or Koonj, are seen congregating in the feeding area while producing frequent calls and vocalizations. Their distinctive calls create a characteristic soundscape as hundreds of birds interact within the flock. Khichan, located in the Phalodi district on the edge of the Thar Desert, is a well-known wintering site for these migratory visitors. Demoiselle Cranes arrive from breeding grounds in Mongolia, Central Asia, and southern Russia and spend several months in western India. The footage documents flock behavior, vocal communication, and the annual migration of one of the world's smallest crane species
