This apparent garbage agglomeration is actually the nest of a beautiful bird - the Purple Sunbird of India. The nest is made up of spiders' egg sacs and cocoons, fiber, dried grass and bits of vegetation, with the odd bit of cloth and paper thrown in, for good measure and camouflage, which this tiny bird accomplishes with elan. She leaves a small entrance with a porch above it, to save her from the summer-time sun and possible rain... May in Delhi and the Sunbirds are in nesting mode! Watch them at work...
