A Rufous Treepie (Dendrocitta vagabunda), a striking member of the crow family (Corvidae), is observed foraging on the grassy ground of Wilderness Orchard. The bird searches among dry leaves, green vegetation, and small wildflowers, carefully inspecting the area for food. Distinguished by its black head and neck, rich rufous-brown body, and long silvery-gray tail with a black tip, the Rufous Treepie is one of the most recognizable birds of the Indian subcontinent. After foraging, the bird takes flight to the top of a nearby tree, where it pauses to survey its surroundings from an elevated perch.
