Common Mynas are seen almost on every tree in urban areas in North India. They are aggressive birds seen in huge numbers and they are observed to hijack the nest of other birds. Individuals of the birds are seen relaxing on small tree stumps and near their nesting areas. The adult birds are busy going in and out of the nests. A small group is seen on the ground flaring up their feathers and preening. The rains must have messed up their feather alignments. Notice the hollow on two tree trunks at a parallel height, on a bakain or Persian Lilac tree.
