A Plain Tiger observed in a natural habitat in India. The Plain Tiger, also known as the African Queen or African Monarch, is a medium-sized butterfly distributed across Asia, Africa, and Australia. It is commonly found in gardens, open grasslands, agricultural areas, and deciduous forests. The species is known for its orange-brown wings marked with black and white patterns. Plain Tiger butterflies become toxic to predators because their caterpillars feed on poisonous milkweed plants. The video documents one of the most widespread and commonly observed butterfly species found across the Indian subcontinent.
