A large flock of Demoiselle Cranes (Anthropoides virgo) flying in coordinated lines over the desert landscape of Khichan, Rajasthan, India. The migratory birds, locally known as Kurja or Koonj, are seen moving together above a distinctive red-colored stretch of land near a watering area. Their steel-grey plumage, black necks, and white ear plumes are visible as they travel in organized formations.
