This video recorded in New Delhi, India, shows a perched Black Kite (Milvus migrans), also widely known in South Asia as the Pariah Kite. The species is one of the most abundant raptors in the world and is frequently observed in urban and semi-urban environments across India. The bird displays dark brown plumage with subtle streaking and lighter mottling, while the head and neck appear comparatively pale. Its sharp hook-shaped beak with a yellow cere is visible in the close view. Although not fully visible while perched, the species is recognized for its shallowly forked tail used for maneuvering during flight. The video documents a common urban raptor species adapted to human-dominated landscapes in Delhi.
