A Verditer Flycatcher (Eumyias thalassinus) is observed perched while actively scanning for insect prey in a forested habitat. This striking bird is known for its vivid turquoise or sky-blue plumage, which stands out against the greenery. It remains alert, watching the airspace above the canopy where it typically hunts flying insects. From its perch, the bird may dart out to catch prey mid-air before returning to the same spot.
