The White-cheeked Barbet is observed in Pampadum Shola National Park in Kerala, South India, within the Western Ghats. The bird is positioned among dense foliage in the Shola forest ecosystem. The species is primarily green with a brownish head, white streaks, a light pinkish bill, and white cheek patches. It is adapted to arboreal forest habitats and is commonly associated with evergreen and montane forest canopies. The video shows the bird perched quietly within the vegetation of its natural habitat. It also represents a forest-dwelling barbet species known for characteristic repetitive calls in South Indian forests.
