Enjoy a peaceful wildlife moment as we observe the Nilgiri Langur (Semnopithecus johnii) in its natural habitat inside Pampadum Shola National Park, Kerala. Known for their glossy black fur and distinctive golden-brown mane, these langurs are an endemic and threatened primate species found only in the Western Ghats. In this video, a Nilgiri langur sits comfortably on a tree branch, using its long, graceful tail for balance as it feeds on fresh leaves. Pampadum Shola, the smallest national park in Kerala, is a biodiversity hotspot home to rare mammals, birds, and unique high-altitude shola forests.
