A wild mountain goat or Goral chomps on dry winter grasses on our cliffs at the wildfilmsindia wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand. The white neck of the goral stands out and its ears prick up to hear sounds of predators or other disturbances. The nose is trained and the eyes are focused on sights and sounds that will aid it in its survival. Another goral sneezes from above - a warning sign of disturbance. This goral trains its ears in the direction of the sound... The grasses are brown and dry and the pickings are slim, but its winter and that's all that's on offer right now. As the mists rise and fall, this wild mountain goat flicks off bugs and looks around for danger, but overall feels secure in the protection accorded to it by wildfilmsindia at our wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand.
