An Indian Peafowl female, commonly called a peahen, walks through a grassy area in New Delhi. The bird shows brown and grey plumage with a subtle green sheen on the neck, typical of females of this species. A ground nest is present nearby, formed in dry grass and lined with scattered feathers. The nest contains two light-colored eggs placed in a shallow depression. The surrounding area includes sparse vegetation and a visible wire mesh fence, indicating a semi-natural habitat.
