Migratory waterbirds swimming on the calm waters of Chilika Lake in Odisha, India. Chilika is Asia's largest brackish water lagoon and one of the most important wintering grounds for migratory birds in the Indian subcontinent. The footage shows a flock of waterbirds floating across the lake's surface against a backdrop of low-lying shoreline vegetation and coastal settlements. During the winter season, Chilika hosts numerous bird species arriving from regions including Siberia and Central Asia. Common visitors to the lagoon include gulls, terns, Northern Pintails, Eurasian Wigeons, Gadwalls, herons, and other waterfowl. The video documents the lake's role as a significant wetland habitat and bird sanctuary.
