Unlike in the west and in garden cherries, the wild Himalayan cherry tree flowers in late autumn and early winter. Perched on a wild flowering Himalayan prunus cherry tree is a friendly bird called the Himalayan Bulbul or the White-cheeked Bulbul. The bird's Mohawk styled head is a unique feature. The White-cheeked Bulbul or Himalayan Bulbul (Pycnonotus leucogenys) is a species of songbird in the Pycnonotidae family. It is found in Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Tajikistan. If they are mixed with humans from a young age, they will become friendly to humans.
