Goats stretch their bodies and necks to reach tall shrubs for scant leaves at the edge of the Indian Thar desert. Will they become giraffes or giraffe-like over time, with extended necks, perhaps? Huts in nearby villages are made with thatched roofs, to act as insulating material against the scorching harsh heat of the desert sun. Capparis shrubs abound but they barely have any leaves as the Caper or Dela plants try to preserve moisture by bearing thicker and more resilient leaves.
