A pair of Common Myna birds also attempt to feed Grey Hornbill chicks: The Lodhi Gardens saga of community feeding continues! Pied Hornbill feeds bird eggs to Grey Hornbill chicks in their nest-hole at Lodhi Gardens in New Delhi A female Oriental Pied Hornbill adopts a Grey Hornbill nest and chicks as her own in New Delhi city's Lodhi Gardens, and foster feeds them on a unilateral basis, in addition to the Grey Hornbill pair feeding their own chicks. This strange natural drama has been taking place in Delhi since May 2026 and continued into July, when the last chick left the nest-hole on 9th July 2026.
