Denzil Britto says "We have several different types of soils in the Thar desert. They all have certain properties like some are very rich in salinity while some are very rich in iron and calcium. So, we have placed a few samples of soil collected from the Thar Desert. For that, we have to travel at times for certain kilometres maybe other districts and actually go into the place, pull the bags out, put in the sand and see what is happening in that area and carry the samples back to see what grows when the soil is here."
