A large flock of migratory Demoiselle cranes at Pakshi Chugga Ghar in Khichan village, Phalodi district, Rajasthan, India. Pakshi Chugga Ghar is a community-managed bird feeding site where local residents provide grain to wintering cranes. Demoiselle cranes migrate to northwestern India from breeding areas across Central Asia, including Mongolia, during the winter season. Hundreds of cranes standing on the feeding grounds while others take off and land, accompanied by their natural calls. Village buildings and boundary walls of Khichan are visible in the background.
