A Himalayan Tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus) in its natural habitat in Uttarakhand, India. The animal is visible on rugged mountain terrain, showcasing the species' adaptation to steep, rocky slopes of the Himalayas. Himalayan Tahrs are recognized by their thick woolly coats, which range from reddish-brown to dark brown and provide insulation in cold alpine environments. Both males and females possess backward-curving horns, although those of males are generally larger and more robust. The species is well adapted to cliffside habitats, using specialized hooves to maintain traction on rocky surfaces. The video documents a characteristic mountain ungulate of the Himalayan region in its natural environment.
