A group of Himalayan Tahrs (Hemitragus jemlahicus) grazing on the rugged mountain slopes of Uttarakhand in the Indian Himalayas. These large wild goat relatives are perfectly adapted to life in steep, rocky terrain, where they feed on alpine grasses, shrubs, and other mountain vegetation. The animals display their characteristic thick, shaggy coats, ranging from reddish-brown to dark brown in color. Mature males are especially impressive, sporting long flowing manes around the neck and shoulders that become more prominent with age. Both males and females possess sturdy, backward-curving horns that are flattened along the sides, helping them navigate and defend themselves in their challenging environment. The footage captures these sure-footed herbivores in their natural high-altitude habit
