The Tripura state tableau passes through the saluting base during India’s 70th Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2019, at Rajpath, now Kartavya Path, in New Delhi. The tableau was themed “Empowering Rural Economy the Gandhian Way” and featured Mahatma Gandhi with a traditional spinning wheel, along with a rural cottage setting. Bamboo and cane elements highlighted Tripura’s traditional craftsmanship, while folk performers in traditional attire accompanied the float. Spectators, security personnel and Indian national flags line the parade route.
