The Punjab State Tableau moves along Rajpath in New Delhi during the 70th Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2019. The tableau commemorates the centenary of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919 and features a recreation of the Jallianwala Bagh Martyrs' Memorial and the site's historic brick wall entrance. Figures on the float depict victims and freedom fighters connected with the historical tragedy. Large crowds watch from tiered grandstands along the parade route, while security personnel and event staff line the red-carpeted boundaries.
