The Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab tableaux move along Rajpath, now Kartavya Path, in New Delhi during the 71st Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2020. The Jammu and Kashmir tableau highlighted the Back to Village programme and featured a sculpted Kashmiri shawl weaver in traditional attire. The Punjab tableau behind it featured traditional architectural elements and a prominent golden dome representing Sri Harmandir Sahib, along with a sculpted hand holding prayer beads. Performers in traditional white attire with orange turbans and sashes accompany the Punjab tableau as it proceeds along the parade route. Spectator stands filled with crowds, Indian national flags and the winter atmosphere of central Delhi form the backdrop.
