State tableaux move along Rajpath in New Delhi during the 71st Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2020. The Assam tableau, themed around the state’s unique crafts and culture, features traditional cane and bamboo handicrafts, pottery, woven materials and cultural performers. The Telangana tableau highlights the Bathukamma festival and architectural heritage inspired by the Thousand Pillar Temple of Warangal, accompanied by traditional dancers and musicians. Other tableaux, including those from Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, are visible along the parade route, with performers walking alongside the floats. Large spectator stands, Indian national flags, security personnel and media crews form the background of the ceremonial avenue.
