In the wetlands of Ranthambore, a majestic Sambar Stag (Rusa unicolor) stands partially submerged, the water rising gently up to its legs as it grazes on fresh green shrubs emerging from the marsh. Morning light glints softly off its coarse brown coat and heavy antlers, creating a calm and regal portrait of one of the forest’s most iconic herbivores. The stag moves slowly, tearing at the vegetation with unhurried precision, its reflection shimmering across the still water. The scene then shifts to the vibrant birdlife that thrives alongside the wetlands.
