The Katphora is nesting in this coconut palm tree nest hold but the Mynas want to contest their claim! A Common Myna (Acridotheres Tristis) and a Black-rumped Flameback Woodpecker ( Dinopium benghalense) are vying for a spot in this old coconut trunk that looks like an ancient temple for birds. The birds are seen going inside one after the other. while the Myna couple do not reappear again, the woodpecker is chased out of the hollow. The woodpecker goes back in and its beak can be seen digging on the wood surface. Unable to fight off the pair of aggressive mynas the woodpecker has resigned to the outside of the trunk.
