Now wouldn't PETA just love that? If we could only persuade all tigers to turn vegetarian, one wouldn't need to have ANY animals killed for meat at all! Tiger eating grass - Strange but true - one can see a tiger eating grass in this clip. Rare behaviour. A tiger does need vegetarian fare at times, and especially something as therepeutic and fibrous as grass. Can you recall seeing your dog eating grass as well, whenever it has an upset tummy? Of course, the tiger isn't vegetarian. It just needs the fiber to digest it's meat and other animal product fare! The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest cat species, reaching a total body length of up to 3.38 m (11.1 ft) over curves and weighing up to 388.7 kg (857 lb) in the wild.
