Barbet pops its cut rd-topped green and yellow head out of little nest hole in dead tre trunk, warily examining the outside world for safety concerns! Known after its call, which sounds very similar to the sound a coppersmith makes with his hammer, the Coppersmith or Red-breasted Barbet is a striking bird. Though primarily frugivorous, this birds can also be seen eating various insects. Unusually located right below two small stems of a bakain or Persian Lilac tree, this One Rupee coin sized nest-hole was created by a Crimson-breasted Barbet.
