An Indian Palm Squirrel (Funambulus palmarum) feeding on bajra, or pearl millet, at a wilderness orchard. In the first scene, the squirrel clings to a rusty metal fence and nibbles grains from a spiky millet ear, even hanging upside down to reach the food. In a second scene, it sits on the ground and holds a piece of bajra flatbread between its forepaws while eating. Its three pale dorsal stripes, dark eyes, and bushy tail are clearly visible in the close-up shots. Birds and squirrels also visit the orchard to feed on millet, highlighting the role of food sources in attracting wildlife to the area.
